Founded by eminent lawyer Mrs. Rama Iyer, Ayana Legal has carved a niche for itself in the legal realm for services in Corporate-Advisory and Transactions, Real Estate, IPR, Banking, Dispute Resolution and Arbitration. Equipped with over two decades of experience in Intellectual Property Rights, Corporate law, Commercial Transactions and ADR, she has represented leading organizations, individuals, financial institutions, hospitals, business establishments, trusts, associations etc in various fora including the Supreme Court of India, Trial Courts, Tribunals and Commissions to name a few.

After graduating in Law from Bangalore University Law College and achieving Masters from the National Law School of India University in which she topped her batch, she began her career in Mumbai before embarking in a robust practice in Bangalore.

Ms. Iyer enjoys a close association with various professional organizations and is a Member of the Bar Council, Bangalore Advocates Association, Indian Institute of Arbitration and Mediation, India International ADR Association, LAWASIA etc. She also offers advice on legal issues to many companies. She has a passion for helping women entrepreneurs in start up companies.

Over the years, she has been invited to share her knowledge in various significant forums as a thought leader. Few of the most notable speakership opportunities were in Orlando, Florida on Product Safety Laws, 2007, where she spoke on ‘The Indian laws and where we stand’; Discussion of Path-breaking cases in ‘The National Consultation of the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005 in the year 2010 in Mumbai; Keynote speaker in the World Law Dialogue in 2013 along with other distinguished personalities such as Dr. SubramaniamSwamy, Mr. PrashantBhushan, Mr. Harish Salve to name a few and International Federation of Women Lawyers in Bangalore. November 2014.

It was a proud moment when Ms. Iyer was invited for a consultation on International Laws in February 2014 by the International Court of Justice

Firmly believing in empowering lives, Ms. Iyer regularly conducts training programmes organized by National Institute of Public Co-operation and Child Development, under the aegis of the Government of India and also devotes time to assist a few NGOs, mostly pro bono, in matters of civic importance.
